We should stop worrying about the impact of AI…

I’ve been thinking about this a lot.

The market will default to using the tool for cost cutting. It always does.

But I think we have to stop worrying how it will turn out, and start deciding how it will turn out.

In Universities, as I’ve said before, we must keep sharing knowledge with our students. But we must decide how we ensure our students are equipped to use AI to help build and use their knowledge.

And in industry… We must decide whether, why, when and how to bring AI tools into play. And we must decide what the human AI balance looks like.

Instead of just letting it happen.
